Dance, Movement & PSICOSOMA β Sydney
Move with confidence and presence
I help people enjoy dance through body awareness, musicality, and expressive intention.
About Me
My name is Samara. I am a professional Colombian dancer, choreographer, and dance instructor based in Sydney. My work spans private classes, wedding choreography, cultural events and dance shows, school programmes, classes for older adults, and dance fusions across Salsa, Chirimia, and other Latin and Colombian traditions.
My work is built around one idea: music becomes a channel for expression, connection and joy.
What you can expect from my approach:
- Clear structure, practical feedback, and drills that translate to real dancing
- Body mechanics and alignment that reduce tension and build control
- Musicality that makes your dance feel alive rather than mechanical
- Expression and presence: how you embody movement, not just execute it
- A supportive environment: curious, playful, and serious about improvement
Languages: Spanish and English (sessions can be bilingual)
Where I've taught:
- Sydney: Sydney Salsa, Alma, Latin Motion β Oliver Pineda
- Newcastle: Dance on Newy, Salsa in Newcastle
- MedellΓn: Al Mambo, Ven Bailalo, Quimbara
- Dance projection group, TecnolΓ³gico de Antioquia
